Putting on an event?

Setting the Stage – A Community-Based Festival and Event Planning Manual from the Alberta Government is a good starting place. It offers general guidelines, checklists and worksheet templates which can easily be customized for your specific event.

If you want to use public space or need city services for your event, you'll need to submit an application to the City of Edmonton 12 weeks in advance of your event date.

Make sure you have special event liability insurance. Here's one Alberta insurance provider with an online application form.
