At the moment we're looking for volunteers for two of our upcoming projects: 1) We've scheduled Saturday, November 18 as our day to have SHAW come out with their picker trucks to put up lights on the Lane's residential evergreen trees. We could use approximately 20 volunteers to help with this activity from 9:00 am to approximately 2:00 pm (if you can't work this full shift, don't worry as we'd love to have you even for a part of the shift). This job involves feeding strands of lights from the ground up to the aerial boom operator who is placing the lights on the trees--all volunteer work is done from the ground and involves no heights. This is a very fun way for a volunteer to be part of a great, feel-good day. We'll have plenty of warm refreshments to keep your spirits happy. All volunteers are invited to go out for pizza and drinks on us at the end of this shift. 2) We could use about 5 volunteers from November 5-15 to help us to knock on doors of Lane residents to query the nature of their lighting needs so that we know at which addresses to set up lights on November 18. This job can be done at your convenience between November 5-15. We ask that any volunteers under the age of 13 be accompanied by an adult. Later this month we'll be sending out an email to request volunteers for our sleigh ride operation which will begin on December 8. Please reply to this email if you are interested in volunteering for either or both of the above projects. Finally, please let us know if you'd like us to remove your name from our distribution list. We are very appreciative of your time, and we really look forward to spending some time with you again during the upcoming Christmas season. 🎀 Take Care, Gino Ripoli Candycane Lane Committee . Shaw cable is helping out with trucks and lifts and your help would be most appreciated.
